Beverley McLachlin is a Canadian author of legal thriller novels. She writes the Jilly Truitt series. Beverley McLachlin is a former judge who served as the 17th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada from 2000 to 2017. She holds the distinction of being the longest-serving Chief Justice in Canadian history and the first woman to ever occupy the role. In 2018, she was appointed a Companion of the Order of Canada, the highest honor within the Order. Beverley was also appointed as a non-permanent judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal from 2018 to 2024, retiring from the bench to spend more time with her family. (more…)
